Demo Reel 2009 is online

My 2009 demo reel is up! Featuring some of my latest work and also all time favorites.

The second half of the video shows how to use Celulight and Normality to shade a 2D cel, which would be one hell of a task to do by hand but is peanuts for this powerful duo.

Paraworld is done

The cinematic for Paraworld I’ve been working on at Pendulum is finally complete and ready for viewing.

There’s also a lot of background info for those of you who are interested in that sort of stuff featured on CGSociety:

And apparently, our trailer won 1st prize for best Cut-Scene/Cinematics at the German Game Developer Awards!

Marc Antony

Another cinematic I worked on at Pendulum is done. The focus in Marc Antony is mostly on the facial animation, which was done using a really cool motion capture tool developed in-house and produced in cooperation with House of Moves.

I only did minor shading and lighting on this one, as I was stuck in Germany waiting for my visa during most of the production. Once I arrived here, there wasn’t much left for me to do… well, at least I got to watch the World Cup!

Frontlines: Fuel of War

The trailer I mentioned earlier has finally been released for public viewing by KAOS studios and Pendulum.
I present you… Frontlines: Fuel of War.

For this short clip I worked on the shading and lighting for just about every shot and also helped out in the texturing department.
